Chris L Gorham , ME March 14, 2017 Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher PDW9280J00SS Spray arms and bearings were worn screens were clogged and pump connectors were deteriorated and leaking I replaced the upper and mid spray arms and bearings, removed filters and screens and cleaned everything. Pulled pump and replaced the connector and the collection sump. Repair took about 3 hours and went very smoothly thanks to the AppliancePros video! I'm on the east coast so I could not believe it when the parts arrived less than 24 hours after I placed the order! Prices were great too . . . Dawn F Norwood , MA July 08, 2017 My dishwasher was leaving my dishes dirty. I replaced all three of the spray arms. I had looked on You Tube several times to figure out how to clean the spray arms, they just give instructions such as poke the holes with a wire coat hanger soak in vinegar etc. The plastic pieces that were stuck in there from the disposal, could have been bits of paper or plastic From bread bags or even sometimes the little plastic ties that go on the bread bags. Those are not things that you can get out of the spray arm. I should have replaced the spray arms years ago. My dishwasher runs like it is brand-new and my dishes are coming out sparkling clean. Vincent C Monroe , NJ January 14, 2017 Appliance: Model GE CAFE STAINLESS Dishwasher was not cleaning well My dishwasher over time stopped cleaning dishes and cups well. I thought running a cleaning agent through it would resolve the issue and that did not work. We used some home remedies that others have tried and that didn't work.. instead of junking a 5 year old dishwasher I went to appliance parts pros and found replacement parts for the guts of the dishwasher that included all new sprayers bottom, middle and top as well as new trays for top and bottom and on my first run we realized our dishwasher was new again... Thank you appliance parts pros it could not of been any easier and you saved me from buying a replacement 1800.00 dishwasher... One final note the replacement trays are better quality than the originals... Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Socket Set
Peter L Timonium , MD September 18, 2016 Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher GDWT160R10SS Heavily crusted upper spray in dishwasher Typical dishwasher cleaners are insufficient. While the interior gleams after each cleaning, the plastic parts accumulate a white, hard crust. And on pieces with small spray holes, this can be bad if not disastrous. So I searched for YouTube videos, a long the lines of "repair dishwasher upper spray arm," only to find that replacement was both a much better idea, easy to do and inexpensive -- a part for $4.53. I even removed the crusted arm to be sure I could replace it, and found that to be a simple process. So I clicked through to the link on the video, which took me to ApplianceParts, ordered the part, waited about two days for it to arrive, and took perhaps ten minutes to replace the part. Voila! John C Smithtown , NY September 12, 2016 Dishwasher not working well This was a real success story. My washer arms, over the last 10 years, had gotten clogged with food and hard water deposits. The videos on the site helped me choose the right parts, pre-order. I then ordered, and had the parts within 4 days (it was a holiday weekend, so it took a little longer). I had them installed, once again following the videos, within 15 minutes. My dishwasher works like new now. Even better - I was able to clean two of the parts and NOT replace them, so I didn't have to order them. Great job. Read More... Steven E San Jose , CA July 10, 2015 We used the wrong type of soap for many years and all the spray arms and filters got all clogged up I replaced all the filters and arms. Cleaned out all the built up gunk. Runs like a charm now. There is a tiny bit of residue left and still spraying out, but I think it will clear in a few more cycles. Read More...
