How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3964635 / WH49X10042 Washer Agitator Coupler Kit

It went smoothly and we are up and going again within minutes. Thank you for the great price. 

We easily put in our model number and what was wrong and the part we needed came up. We purchased it and got it the next day( we did not pay for special shipping). We watched the video and although we had some problems getting the nut unscrewed we replaced the part and now have an agitating machine again. Thank you. 

I googled a general troubleshooting question and the next thing you know I had found this website, felt pretty confident of what the problem was, super easy to do as they said which was to lift off the agitator (didn't even know you could do that, lol) Ordered the part which was also very easy to see that it was the correct part since this website showed a picture. Again super easy to order the part and it came in one day! Put the agitator coupler on, put in the bolt and my washer was fixed! I'm pretty proud of myself because I'm a woman who's family has only my income and now I don't have to buy a new washing machine...whew! Thank you!! 

Replaced this part. It was a very snug fit, and the bolt had a different head size, but it fit the hole. It works fine now, the model number is WDSR2080DAWN.

I watched the video, ordered the parts. Took less than five minutes to do the repair. The washer now works like a new one. The washer was manufactured in 1998 so I guess it was time for parts. lol 

Replaced the agitator. 

I placed the new agitator coupler and it works great. 

Removed agitator - found the coupler had worn out - Ordered a new coupler from APPLIANCEPARTS PRO.COM Less than 5 minutes to reinstall the new coupler. Clean clothes again !
