Wayne K Fort Worth , TX November 03, 2016 Appliance: LG Dishwasher LDF6920ST Leaking Finding the leak was the toughest part of the repair. When the dishwasher started leaking I went straight to the internet for possible problems. I exhaustingly checked all of the suggested sources of the leak to no avail. In the end it was the simplest answer possible. My LG dishwasher was leaking out of the drain hose. The reason it was so hard to find was because it was leaking right at the point where the drain hose exits the dishwasher. The drain hose had just worn through and had several small slits in the recesses of the hose. I ordered the parts on a Friday and they were on my doorstep when I got home from work on Monday. Replacing the entire drain hose assembly took less than 15 minutes and now the dishwasher is leak free and working great. The lesson I learned is, start with the easiest repair first. Don't automatically jump to the most difficult repairs which was what was suggested on most of the websites I visited. Not one website suggested the drain hose assembly as the culprit. Read More...
