How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4439384 / 4925ER1015B Dispenser Assembly

My neighbor and I watched the videos for my washer model, I ordered the parts we needed, and she helped me replace everything. It took about 2 hours to start to finish, but we got it done and back operational. Not bad for two women with determination! 

Took top off and did a line at a time 

Replaced the dispenser assembly, door gasket, and the bellows because there was mold in the first two. Replacing the bellows just seemed like a good idea since it attaches to the dispenser. The dispenser was super easy to replace. It required a Phillips #2 screw driver and a pair of pliers. 2 screws on the back of the machines top cover (the lower screw on each of the hinges), pull the top cover (slide it toward the rear about and inch and a half, and the lift the cover up and off) The door gasket was more involved. Check out the videos on this site and YouTube. The most difficult step was removing and replacing the spring wire that holds the gasket to the tub and the front of the washer. All of the videos that I watched suggested using a special tool that would make the process easier, but I was able to accomplish the task with 2 pairs of heavy needle nose pliers. I wouldn't suggest going that way to just anyone though. You risk poking a hole in the new expensive gasket when reinstalling it if you aren't very cautious.

I checked the supply hoses for blockage or kinks, I checked and cleaned the screens on both intake valves but still wasn’t getting water out of the dispenser. I pulled the dispenser tray and started a cycle and noticed just a little water coming out the back of the dispenser. I submitted my problem via Appliance Pros web site, within 15 minutes I received a reply that my intake valves were probably the problem. I order both valves from Appliance Pros and used the how-to-video to change them out, the only tools I needed were a Phillips screw driver and channel locks to release the tube clasps, total repair time was 15 minutes. I’ve recommended Appliance Pros to all my do-it-yourselfers. My total experience with Appliance Pros, website ease of use, customer service and delivery times were fantastic. 

Removed upper panel to washer and the solenoids were right on the top of the washer. What a easy fix The repair company wanted a service call and money to replace them it took my husband 15 minutes to repair the washer. Back in busy. Thanks AppliancePartsPros.com for the parts. 

I called a repairman he told me what was wrong and the price to fix it. I told him I would buy the parts to lessen the repair cost. I couldn't find the correct part on line. But after talking to your Pro there I got the correct part in a couple of days. I will use you folks again when needed. Thanks for your help. Oh yea the price of the parts were good too. 

Replaced the dispenser box. hard water apparently distorts the spray pattern. i had even run acid through the old box to clear the deposits with no success. 

After watching both repair videos, I ordered both hot and cold inlet valves and the dispensor assembly. The repairs were easy thanks to the videos! I am glad I stumbled across appliance parts pro when searching for my issues with my washer.
