Ken September 30, 2021 for Model Number WM2077CW I replaced the Bearings on my 15 yr old LG front load washer recently and has been working fine ever since. Last week water started coming out of the detergent dispenser tray. I checked and there is no blockage or buildup of detergent. Yesterday, water was shooting out not just dripping. Do I need to replace the dispenser drawer housing? Or is it something else that is causing this? Thanks for your help, Ken
Goliwagmo September 06, 2020 for Model Number WM2101HW Not a question, but a solution related to this part. We we seeing occasional black spots on cloths coming out of our 10-year-old LG washer. A look inside the 'ceiling' of the dispenser drawer cabinet showed the source of the problem - large amounts of black mold and mildew in the crevices. Using another of your great videos, I disengaged the dispenser cabinet (didn't have to take off any hoses), carefully disengaged the tabs on each side of the cover, separated the cover from the body and cleaned all the black mold. Reassembled it, reinstalled it and no more black spots on the cloths. Thanks again for all the great videos.
Rick March 14, 2019 for Model Number WM2455HG Hi, my machine does not dispense all the detergent from the dispenser. Do you know if the inlet solenoids might be bad or or the dispenser tray may be clogged? thanks for your help
1 Answer Rick, You will wan to pull the dispenser to check for clogging of the tray or the ports where the water comes into the dispenser. If these check ok then the water valve would be the most likely cause for this issue. Read More...
Michael O April 21, 2018 for Model Number LG WM2277HW I purchased a new Dispenser Assembly (4925ER1015B) to replace one that was full of mold. When I disconnected the dispenser hose I noticed it too had mold so I took hose off and cleaned mold out. I reconnected the hose to the new dispenser assembly and when I started a cycle the water from the dispenser assembly backed up and poured out front of the machine. Water is not flowing fast enough down dispenser hose and backs up. Never had a problem with old dispenser assembly. Any thoughts?
1 Answer Michael, You will want to check the dispenser drawer and make sure that it is not clogged. This would be the most likely cause for this issue. Read More...
Dana V. January 30, 2018 Can you use LG washer part number 4925ER1015B in a Whjirlpool washer for part number WPW10163866. I was told by sears that you can.
1 Answer Hello Dana, the original dispenser was discontinued by the manufacturer and they did not supply a suitable replacement to take it's place. The configuration of both the dispenser assemblies are different from each other. We are unable to advise if that part can be used as a substitute, sorry! Read More...
Dick Kelley January 11, 2018 for Model Number WM2077CW The dispenser tray is catching on something and will not pull out. Any answers how to get it out without breaking it ?
1 Answer Dick, Best guess is something has fallen into the dispenser drawer and/or the dispenser cup(s) have shifted and are blocking the forward movement of the drawer. You may want to use something small and/or flat . Open the drawer as far as possible, and " feel" for the obstruction. You may be able to "move" the obstruction and open the drawer enough to remove it, otherwise, you may need to "damage" the drawer front and drawer to remove it. Read More...
Pat August 29, 2017 for Model Number Lg wm3290cw washing machine I need the dispenser housing assembly that goes inside the machine that the drawer slides in to. The video with part number 4925er1015b looks just like mine but says it isn't compatible. Do you have the correct part and what is the number please.
1 Answer Pat, The model number you supplied is incomplete or incorrect. The 4925ER1015B / 4925ER1015B Dispenser assembly seems to fit most versions of the LG 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity, 27" wide, Front Load Washers. Please recheck and verify the model number of your washer from the production plate/serial number tag and repost your question, so we can check and verify the correct part. Thanks, Read More...
Susan June 17, 2015 for Model Number LG-WM2277HW # 3550ER1021-2 We have had the problem with the detergent & softener dispenser cups still having water in them when wash cycle is done. So, my husband and I have taken the cover off and we cleaned out the Dispenser Upper cover each time that fills with mold, with bleach and wire to remove mold. We would like to know if this is the problem or should we replace a water valve? Can you just replace the top dispenser cover since that is all that is the problem? Or is it best to get the whole new dispenser ? What are the part numbers of what we need to replace? Thank you, Susan
1 Answer Hello Susan. They may have been dirty. You will want to check and make sure the unit is level. This is usually the cause of standing water in the dispenser. Read More...
Bill B June 14, 2015 for Model Number WM2277HW Dear support, We have had our LG washer now for about 10 years. My wife always complains about the machines ability to get out grease or oil staines. I will confirm any time I get any type of grease or oil of any type on my cloths the stains never come out when washed. My wife has tried a dozen detergents and stain removers over the years with the same disappointing results. The stains just don't come out. My wife says when we had out old top load machine the results were always much better. Can you offer any advise for us? The machine is working well Thanks.
1 Answer Bill, Here are some tips for removing oil stains from the clothing. There is nothing that the washer can do by itself to remove the stain but these types things may help. 1. Pre-pretreat it. Before the real battle begins, cover the stain with cornstarch and let it soak for at least 30 minutes. Then, simply shake off the excess powder before heading to step two. 2. Shout it out. There's a reason why this brand has become a household name — Shout is awesome. It literally saves (clothes') lives. In regards to oil stains, you want to spray the area with a solvent-based stain remover, like Shout Advanced Stain Remover Trigger Spray ($5), and gently blot. 3. Liquid dish detergent is your friend. If it's a serious oil offense, it may be worth your while to apply a heavy-duty liquid dish detergent to the stain before officially washing. We chose Dawn Ultra Pure Essentials Dishwashing Liquid in Sparkling Mist ($5) because not only does Dawn swear by "lifting the stain out," but this iteration is hypoallergenic, too. Whether you skip this step altogether or take every precaution, it's now time to throw the stained item of clothing into the washer. 4. Hot water, within reason. Use hot water, if possible. While we don't advise washing dark clothing with hot water, definitely try a warmer water load. The bottom line: the hotter the water, the more likely the stain will wash out. 5. The dryer is not your friend. Above all, do not put the stained clothing in the dryer. If the stain didn't come all the way out, the heat will set it into place. The best solution is to air dry it flat. Read More...
