I replaced the thermistor, the thermostat, and the lint trap. In addition, once I had the drum out, it was apparent that there was entirely too much lint on the inside of the dryer housing and heating element, so everything got a good vacuum out & dust off. I also noted that the fan shaft had hair and threads wrapped around it, so with the help of an Exacto knife, carefully removed all from the shaft. Installed new parts, put everything back together & gave it a test run. HEAT!!!!! It was well worth the investment in time and money. Most of the time was invested in simply cleaning everything. The part removal and replacement were quite quick. There was one point where I was not sure how to reseat a set of wires, but I had taken pictures with my phone for my own reference and verified the correct orientation. This would have been completed much quicker, had I not taken the time to do the extra cleaning.
