I ordered a new boot and replaced the seal. First thing i did though was do a YouTube search on taking the Washer apart. We have an LG front loader and there are a couple of great videos there to show the exact steps needed to get the front panel removed. The biggest challenge really is working with the retaining rings which are spring loaded. getting the rings off wasn't the challenge, that's easy. Getting them back on really takes some effort if you don't have a wrench to open that spring wide and slip it on...I didn't have that wrench as the large size I needed was missing from the pack at Harbor Freight when I went to buy one! ugh. Trying to use the flat head screwdrivers to work those on was the most time consuming and frustrating part of the repair. If you have to do this job, go find the spring wrench and use it to open those springs wide and slip them on. You'll be MORE than happy to have spent the time to find one.
