How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5218457 / 6912A40002J Halogen Lamp

A easy fix if you have the right lamp/bulb to replace it with. This is a lamp your not going to find in home depot or lowes, 130 volt- 50 watts, but AppliancePartsPros had it. As you can see, this was not your standard lamp and the maker of the micro wave didn't carry it anymore. 

Ordered a new lamp and put it in 

Replace bulb I got from you. 

Once I found the right light bulbs, I ordered 3 (one for a spare). Once the bulbs came, I put on rubber gloves so I wouldn't get any skin oils on them (this is what caused the burn out). Then, I took the single screw out of each side and removed the glass plate over the lights. I removed the burnt out bulbs and replaced them with the new ones. Then, screwed the plates back on and turned the lights on. Worked beautifully! Easy 5-10 minute fix. 

I looked in my Microwave manual to get the number of the bulb I needed. This is the first time I used AppliancePartsPros.com. but, after looking for the part on the website of the brand of microwave we have, I felt they were a little high in price. While surfing the web I came across AppliancePartsPros.com! They had the best price. I checked to make sure the site was a safe site and ordered two of the bulb I needed (to have a spare.) The site is very user friendly, they have great communication and a fast delivery! When the bulbs came I just removed the small glass, framed with metal, plate that covered the bulb we needed to replaced. That was done with a small Phillips Screwdriver.
