I noticed a water leak in my basement and traced it to the fridge area. Upon sliding my fridge out, I realized the floor was completely soaked and the linoleum was even peeling up. There was a steady drip coming from the bottom of the water line connection. I tried to simply put new plumbers tape on the connection, but it continued to drip. I capped off the line and came here to see if there was a part that needed to be replaced. I ordered the water valve assembly. Installation was super easy, and the video on the page was very helpful. Just turn off power and water, take off the bottom panel, unplug the old module, put in the new one, and it's ready to go. I also ordered a new plastic water line, as some reviews stated it was too short. My replacement part looked identical and the water line didn't need to be replaced. I turned the water on and monitored for leaks for a bit. It seems to be fixed with no leaking or dripping. It's not easy to monitor for leaks behind the fridge. So fingers crossed that I don't see water dripping in the basement anytime soon!
