How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5800406 / DD81-01544A Dishwasher Door Seal Sensor

Purchased Sensor and Seal assembly, You will honestly spend more time getting to it than actually replacing it. Remember to have your power to dishwasher and disposal off, disconnect water and drain lines, and remove power connections at the base of the unit. Once you have done this remove screws securing dishwasher to cabinet and pull unit out. You may need a lever or crowbar to lift and lower the legs on the dishwasher to aid in pulling the unit out. Access panel is on the right side base, and sensor is located immediately next to pump assembly. Remove/Replace and perform in reverse order. Works as intended. 

I looked on line for help, all indications were the A/s assembly sensor was bad. I used the steps indicated on this website (applianceparspros.com) to fix. I disconnected electrical (mine was wired to a plug so not hard), water and drain lines. Unscrewed two screws for bottom service plate and the two screws holding dishwasher to countertop. Pulled out dishwasher and places on back. Unscrewed two screws to the bottom cover place and removed. Located and removed Sensor assembly and gasket, replaced with new parts. Reassembled in reverse order. Ran dishwasher through a complete cycle. So far, working like new. 

Replaced sensor. Locating sensor most difficult part of task. 

Did a google search, found a you tube video on the repair, ordered the part and was done in less than 30 minutes. I had installed a long flexable supply line when I did the original install (12 months and 3 days prior). 3 days out of warranty. Anyhow everything I found pointed to the ECS thermosistor as the problem. Would recommend having a very long needle nose pliers or those clamps doctors use (you can pick them up at hardware store. Made unlocking the sensor from the housing easier.
