How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5577941 / DG94-00520A Range Oven Igniter

Replaced Oven Ingniter 

Everything amazing me and my son put the Igniter and and I took out the old out it's like we have a brand new oven in the kitchen heats up great back up and running baby..... 

Well first I bought a less expensive igniter from another source. It worked once!!! Then I ordered an OEM one from Appliance Parts Pros. It arrived in a couple days and solved the problem. Lesson learned. 

Purchased a new oven igniter from AppliancePartsPros.com The only tool needed is a standard philips screwdriver. Opened the oven door and remove two oven racks. Remove the broiler drawer. Inside oven compartment, unscrew 2 phillips head screws of oven liner, and remove the oven liner. Immediately below, unscrew 2 phillips head screws from the hit shield. Remove the hit shield. Reach into the rear of the broiler drawer opening, and unplug the igniter plug (squeeze side plastic clips). Inside oven compartment, unscrew two phillips head screws that secure the tubular heating element to the front and back wall of the oven. Remove the tubular heating element which holds the ignitor from the oven. Remove the old igniter by unscrewing two phillips head screw bolts, upper bracket piece and bottom bolt nuts. CAUTION: Be careful handling new igniter. Do NOT touch the carbide ("fork") element inside its housed compartment as it is very fragile. Reverse steps to complete install. 

I purchased the part from your company and installed it. It was a very easy. Not the first time installing one. 

Ordered a new ceramic igniter and watched a you-tube video on replacing the existing one. 

Installation of the oven igniter as recommended by the AppliancePartsPros.com fixed the problem and now my moms oven is working like new again! 

I bought a Samsung igniter and replaced the old one. I had bought one from another supplier for 22-25 bucks in July. It only lasted over two months before the symptoms again appeared. We will see if paying $200 from AppliancePartsPros.com for an original replacement was the answer. I will update if this part fails as well. 

Did a search to find that the igniter was the likely cause of the issue. Watched video and purchased the part. The install was very simple and easy to manage with very little appliance repair (zero) background. Only used a Phillips screwdriver and a flashlight to complete the job. 

Ordered the oven gniter and followed a YouTube video and it was fixed in less than 30 minutes. I also ordered the large cover for the bottom of oven (tip: DO NOT use steel wool to clean that drip pan!) & replaced it with no issues. You can do it! Pretty easy. Only issue I had was to get both of my arms/hands underneath the oven to snap the igniter in place, but figured it out. Customer service at AppliancePartsPros.com was very helpful, too.
