How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5577941 / DG94-00520A Range Oven Igniter

Replaced ignitor. 

Following the directions. 

I searched for common problems with my range. One of the YouTube videos I watched from Appliance Parts Pros talked about the symptoms and they matched my problem. After watching the video I ordered the parts. It arrived quickly and took 40 min to install. One of the easiest repairs I’ve done. The quote I got from a local repair guy was $325 and I paid $130 for the part and 40 min of my time. Worth it!! 

30 minutes with a new oven igniter. Very easy job. 

After doing some Youtube reviews and calling Appliance Parts Pros.com to confirm the part I needed to fix my problem. Getting to the oven portion of the range was fairly easy to remove and replace the oven Igniter. I think I found my best Appliance Parts Resource. Be sure to buy the OEM part which will last longer than the generic part. The same part fits into the Broiler so I brought two igniters.....the cost for the parts is reasonable and the DIY savings was worth the effort. Thanks to the Pros I got it done!! 

I purchased a genuine Samsung ignitor from Appliance Parts Pros and replaced the part myself. The Q&A section of the website assured me that Samsung only makes one ignitor for both the baking and broiler elements. 

Replaced it. 

I ordered a replacement and installation was a breeze. 

This part fixed my problem. Took about 30 minutes. Only tool was a Phillips head screwdriver. Just keep taking panels off the oven floor until you see what you looking for. 

Installed a new ignitor.
