How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5651755 / DA97-07603B Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly

Bought a new replacement unit from Appliance Parts Pros and watched a You Tube video on how to do the replacement. Couldn't have been easier. Works great, and the price was amazingly inexpensive. 

Exact change out- 2 screws, 20 minutes and the ice maker is working and the refrigerator is working perfectly again. Appliance Parts Pros ships fast- one day and has all the on-line info you need. Just ordered more parts for another appliance. 

Unfortunately, I was not able to purchase the sensor on the bottom of the ice tray. I had to purchase the entire assembly, once it arrived I did have to swap out the ice tray with the motor from the new plastic harness and insert them into the old harness because the new harness was not an exact fit. Otherwise, it was very simple to fix and the icemaker is now working like before. 

Replace ice maker.....easy once you get the freezer door off which is just 4 10mm bolts. 

Part arrived super quick. kids emptied the freezer. I took the door off, unscrewed the broken ice maker (2 - phillips), slid it out, slid the new one in, and put the two screws back in. Start to finish the repair took 20 minutes. It's making ice, so far so good. 

Replaced ice-maker assembly. Only issue was I had to remove the ice guard part so the assembly would fit in my freezer. 

Purchased a new ice maker. Part was as described. Easy installation. Working good 

The old bottom ice maker was not making ice. It just stopped making any noise, moving, anything. It was dead. I tried pressing the reset/test button any times using different methods, but there was no change. Installing a new ice maker assembly fixed the issue. Two screws, a unplug/pug, and all was good. Easy repair. 

Replaced broken part. I ordered part one day, received next day. Wow! What service. Item was just as described. 

Ordered part. save old parts because new icemaker bracket doesn't fit older four door refrigerators. I used my old bracket and put the new guts inside and everything works better than before. The project only took about 5 min. Super Easy!!
