How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4579189 / DC90-10128N Washer Water Temperature Thermistor Assembly

25 min fix, 90% of the job was getting the old water shut offs closed/open. 

My Samsung washer for a long time would do a great job washing clothes, but the clothes would be soaked! The problem started after a few loads would cause the washer to shake harder than the average wash cycle. No codes were ever produced, but the spin cycle stopped spinning as fast and the clothes were soaked. I replaced the suspension thinking it went out after too many heavy loads, but the parts I took out past the suspension test! With the new suspension in the washer had the same problem. While the washer was apart I noticed a bracket had broken off with a harness and two wires attached. Two blue wires one end, a black connection and a orange and yellow wire on the other end. The blue wires I leanered later belong to thr Thermistor. I'm not sure why no code ever popped up, or how the thermistor can cause problems with the spin cycle, but replacing the thermistor and fixing the broken orang and yellow wire from the harness fixed the spin cycle issue. 

Replaced the thermistor. 

The manual indicated TE indicates a thermistor issue. Unplugging washer did not solve issue so I took the plunge and ordered the new thermistor. It took about 5 minutes to install. Hardest part was working in cramped space behind washer. Other than that, easy peasy. No issues with washer after three loads. 

Removed and replaced thermister. 

Took the back off and plug and play. Easy fix. 

Purchased the proper thermistor part for my Samsung front loader wash machine. 

Replaced thermistor. I did my research and found you guys. I could not find my part on Amazon, but your team directed me to the correct part. 

There was nothing wong with the thermistor. The two wires (white and orange) are wrapped in a shrink tubing or tape and had failed inside the sleeve. I cut the wires just after the connector and added new wire and spliced it after the sleeve, bypassing the failed wires tighly wrapped around the sleeve. The washer is working again. Either Samsung used cheap wire or it degraded from being too close to the motor.
