How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5183285 / DA97-11117A Refrigerator Ice Bucket And Auger Assembly

Found the part on the AppliancePartsPros.com site and ordered an exact match. The part simply slides into the ice maker. The usual great service and quick delivery. I only use these guys for all of my appliance parts needs. 

I went online to find the AppliancePartsPros.com website, where I could order the replacement Ice Bucket. 

Slid it in and thanks for the great service!!!! 

We replaced the defective Ice Maker Assembly and the broken Ice Bucket and Auger Assembly. Both solenoid coils were checked well at around 504 and 505 ohms. Pushed thin 5-inch zip tie into water outlet which eliminated possible frozen line. Went with my gut feeling that it was only the ice maker, and the new parts were a perfect fit. Now I have too much ice. 

Ordered and replaced with a new Ice Bucket & Auger Assembly. 

Ordered a new Ice Bucket & Auger Assembly and switched them out. 

I replaced the old unit with the new one by sliding out the old and sliding in the new one. 

Turned out that all I had to do was order and slide in a new Ice Bucket and Auger Assembly. 

Bought a new one, the old auger was locked up. 

I ordered the proper parts took out the broken one and put in the new one. Worked immediately.
