How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4336356 / DC97-04973B Washer Door Seal Clamp

I ordered new door gasket, front and rear clamp for gasket and installed them. 

Being a DIY family, my wife and I felt this "project" might be a bit of a stretch for us but. . . With the fantastic help from Matt's disassemble / reassemble in-depth video, my wife and I tackled this project of our Samsung Front Loading Washer over the weekend. While our washer model wasn't exactly the same as Matt's, it was close enough. Matt not only takes you through each step with great detail, he even tells you what size sockets he is using. Great help in keeping things moving along. The "back-up" Appliance Parts Pros has available is their "Talk to a Pro" option. This was a tremendous help with questions that arose during the investigation process. The entire "project" went well and after we had the washer machine was reassembled, with NO PARTS LEFT OVER, I might add! The balance problem was fixed and runs as if it was new again. Thank you APP.COM ! ! ! You guys save me a LOT of $$$. 

In my case the space it was in was a bit restrictive space but with assistance we got it out to an area with more access to work. I have to say with the video APP provided it was a breeze! I viewed the video once and then kept it on in the background to play step by step. Two of us working on it made it breeze by quick. With Corona lock down, it was a great project to do also! The only thing is, I wish I bought the inner boot clamp cause that one had bit of corrosion on it, but was functional, just wasn't planning on doing this again for a while. I did get the outer seal thinking since it was mostly a spring action that it might be damaged by myself on the removal or upon putting it back. It did not, but still used the new one and replaced it. From getting quotes of my dryer repair (which I saw video here as well) similar part costs, and labor would put this project at about $450+. Which in my book is a new machine at that point. I enjoy doing projects and the tools needed were common unlike some projects, so it went well. Thanks again Appliance Parts Pros!! 

Took apart both dryer and washer door. Took all day, the dryer was easier than the washer. But both are working great, like new again. PS They were only four years old when the dryer heat element went out, looks like there was a little fire in there. 

Watched a video from YouTube that was made by the company. It was very easy and helpful 

Purchased the part from Appliance Parts Pro, watched their video and fixed the issue. 

Replaced drum bearings. Replaced front shocks, one had hardly any resistance. Replace both door boot clamps. Always take pictures as you take apart ! Learned the hard way years ago ! 

I ordered it and was shipped to me amazingly fast! 

I spoke with APP and she walked me through the process and helped with ordering the proper parts. The most important info she gave me was I could click on the needed part and a video would come up of how to install the part. I've used APP in the past and will again due to their professionalism.
