How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4051377 / 4713-001199 Dryer Light Bulb

Ordered the dryer gas valve and installed it. 

I tested components with multimeter. The thermal fuse indicated no continuity. After replacing the thermal fuse and reassembling the dryer, the unit ran normally. Due to the age of the dryer (6 years), I replaced the drum belt and light bulb while the unit was disassembled. Drier disassembles easily. Metal can be razor sharp, so wear work gloves. Drum belt routes easily around motor and tension pulleys if you position drum on rollers as the last step in the belt replacement. There is not enough belt length if the drum is on the rollers and then you attempt to rout the belt through the pulleys. 

Replaced cover. 

I ordered a new light cover and light bulb. I received items in a couple of days and replaced them in less than 3 minutes. 

Replaced heat element. 

Very easy to install!! 

Disassembled dryer to access thermistor. Checked resistance, was higher than spec. Ordered new part. Installed new thermistor, reassembled dryer. Runs great! 

Started with Technology (Google/YouTube). Diagnosed the Heating Element with a Multi-Meter. Ordered Parts thru AppliancePartsPros.com with Next Day Delivery. Parts arrived Next Day and in 20 minutes Dryer was up & running like a Champ. It was just that Simple! •••Also ordered a replacement Light Cover and Bulb, so now it is Fully Functional. 

A friend of mine went on U-Tube to see how to fix it and it took about 30 minutes to disassemble it. When the belt and light bulb came in the very next day, he again went on U-Tube and repaired it and reassembled it. It works beautifully. Thank you for the promptness in shipping the parts!! 

45 minutes up and running, the appliance company Should deburr the sheet metal parts ! Cut my finger But other than that job went great
