How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP5788799 / DC66-00777A Washer Pulsator Cap

It was an easy fix, just lined up prongs and pushed it in slots. 

Replaced with easy peasy fix. 

I wish it came with a diagram, instructions, a hint of how to fix it! After attempting to shove it in and cork screw it in, the part didn’t go in, and I realized that something was wrong. Used flash light to see inside the machine and discovered that there is another step; I had to remove the broken bits of plastic from the hole, Then I shoved the part straight down, until it snapped into place. Used tools to remove old bits and pieces, no tools to install part. It works good. If it would have come with instructions, this would have been a 5 star review... 

This was a very easy repair. The part was the correct fit and it took maybe 5 seconds to snap it into place. It is a rather expensive piece of plastic. 

The old one was laying in the bottom of the washing machine. Removed it and replaced it with the new one, easy fix. 

I kept trying to put the cap back on with every wash hoping it would stay on. I didn't know what its purpose was but I thought it might be important. Anyway, I waited and kept putting it back on until one day I just started using the machine without the part. Then I looked up the Samsung model and found Appliance Parts Pros.com There was a picture of the part and others who had ordered and installed the piece. I ordered it on Monday and it was here on Tuesday Fedex. I didn't choose next day service, but did pay for 2 to 5 day service. I was so suprised when it arrived. I snapped it on and viola! it is good as new. What a great experience. 

Purchased a new replacement pulsator cap 

It took less than 1 minute to snap the new one in place without the use of any tools. 

Bought parts from you. Everything was fast and easy. 

Only replacing with a new one will work. Spin vibration over time will break the plastic insert tabs. Gluing tabs back on and reinserting will not last.
