I did like your video. I open the case take out and I cut the wire to replace the case and solder back and put shrink where I solder and put everything back together and work fine 

I replaced the latch, and I also replaced the seal since I was working on it. 

This time I replaced the thermistor and the thermal fuse. Washed the lint catcher in the sink and took the holder apart and got every bit of lint out even though both looked clear. I followed the excellent video and took the advice of one of the commenters about replacing the thermistor. My usual repair person was not available, so I did it myself. I am an 83-year-old woman. It took a while, but I'm confident that I can do it again if necessary.
