Paul P Seattle , WA February 18, 2019 Appliance: Model NE59J3420SB/AA (0000) Some of the buttons on the membrane pad had stopped working Turn off power to the stove (use either breaker or fuse). Pull stove out from wall to gain access to the back (unplug from outlet). Before removing anything, take pictures and continue to take pictures of each piece before removing any screws, so you have a record of the assembly sequence and screw positions!! Keep screws with each piece that is removed. Remove metal panel on back of stove behind membrane pad. Remove ribbon connector (pull retaining ring out about 2mm to release). Remove plastic holder that circuit board is in (Make note of screw and ground wire positions). (do not remove any other wires. Just let the circuit board hang by the other wires). Remove stamped metal piece that membrane is attached to (Make note of screw positions). Peel membrane pad from stamped metal piece (Be careful!! Metal is sharp!!). The membrane is attached with a 2-sided adhesive tape, so any remaining adhesive will need to be removed with Acetone or other adhesive remover (Wear gloves!! It takes some work to remove!!). Peel backing off of the new membrane pad and reverse process to reassemble. Samantha R Salisbury , NC March 08, 2016 "se" error code on the samsung oven switch membrane We pulled the oven out so that we could access the back cover and took out the top screws. Once inside the area with the wiring there was another backing plate to take off and then you just pull the sticky old keypad off and line up the other one with the screw holes and put everything back the way you took it out. It only took us a total of about 15-20 minutes total.... pulling the oven out, the repair and putting it back. Works like a charm. :) Read More... 6 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Frank P Davie , FL June 04, 2018 “se” error code on my samsung stovetop oven I replaced the Switch MEMBRANE;NE595R0* by Samsung and it fixed the problem completely. Replacing just the membrane required removing the old membrane and cleaning the old adhesive off the Bracket-Chassis Panel. I suggest purchasing the Bracket-Chassis Panel SU by Samsung for an additional $10 to avoid the adhesive clean up to save time.
