How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4580045 / DE34-00304K Microwave Switch Membrane

Replaced the keypad and it solved all my issues. 

Replace the touch pad or some time called the switch MEMBRANE SMH8165B (DE34-00304K). 

Order a new touch pad installed it and it works great! 

I replaced the keypad with the part I received from Appliance Parts Pro. From the time I ordered the part until the time I received and installed it, it was less than 24 hours! 

Removed top trim & screws, pushed control panel up then tilted out top. Removed wiring clips. Pulled out on locking clip on touchpad ribbon & removed ribbon. Placed control panel on protected surface to pry back plastic release tabs removing circuit board from panel. Pealed off old touch pad & spent some time removing glue left on panel. Stuck new touch pad on front & reattached wires. 

Ordered new touch pad, peeled old one off and stuck new one on. Hooked it back up and worked. Part was here in two days and was exact match. Thanks. 

I took the keypad off the microwave. There were 4 screws that attached the mother board to the keypad housing. I had to use a screwdriver to peel off the old keypad membrane. I stuck the new one on and put it back together. It's been working perfect for about a week.
