How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4334981 / DA63-02284B Refrigerator Ice Cube Tray

I ordered a new ice tray and bracket from your website, watched your video and fixed my ice maker in a matter of minutes. 

Easy. 

The video was so helpful, I couldn't have done it without it. The part was exactly want I need it. 

Replaced after watching online video 

I discovered that the ice tray had several cracks and several small holes in it. I ordered a new ice tray and it took about 5 minutes to replace it. 

A simple repair involving the removal of two screws on the ice maker and changing out the ice tray. I believe this was caused bye our water pressure being too low and the ice was freezing and clumps before making it to the ice tray. 

I had to watch a video online to see how to disassemble the unit. On the outside of the lower ice maker is a little lever that holds the motor assembly in place. Push the lever up with your thumb and the motor slides to the left (frezzer wall). Snap the old tray out and replace with new one putting the sensor, padding and snap cover back the way they came. The new arm was a simple screw to replace the old broken with a new one. Now the tricky part, because I was not about to remove the whole freezer drawer. You have to hold the tray in place while sliding the motor assembly back in and keep the tray lined up in the front and back while twisting your self upside down and over a freezer drawer. If you get that done... simply snap on the unit cover and you are done. It took a long time for the first tray of ice to freeze, however seems to be working normal ever since. 

If you have Samsung unit and it is not producing the ice in form of ice cubes, it most likely would be the ice tray. I had this problem. The motor was working fine and ice try was getting tilted to release the ice cubes but ice was not in shape of cubes. I simply changed the ice tray in 5 minutes and problem solved. 

Pulled out freezer compartment drawers to gain access to the ice maker. Removed ice maker, ordered part and replaced. 

With the help of some videos on YouTube I was able to remove the ice maker and then install the new ice cube tray. The biggest problem I had was reinstalling the ice maker back into the refrigerator. Due to the location of the ice maker within the freezer compartment, it was very difficult to reconnect the electrical connection but I was finally successful.
