How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4142321 / DA62-00914B Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve

I removed the bottom panel from the back of the fridge, closed the water and unplugged the unit. I removed the water supply line nut to the valve unit with a adjustable wrench, and with a Phillips head screw driver removed one screw holding the bracket. pulled the unit out and removed the two electrical plugs. To remove the two plastic water lines, there are two black plastic clips under the tubing connection which lock the tubing in place, .pull the two clips out,depress the plastic, and pull out the water line. take the new unit in hand, remove the plastic clips, depress the fitting and insert the plastic water lines, Make sure to push the plastic tubing all the way in until it stops, then install the new clips. reconnect the electrical plugs which only go in one way,install the new unit and reconnect the water supply line using the new nut, make sure to push the line firmly until it stops then slide the nut down over it and tighten. turn on the water and plug in the fridge and check for leaks, test the water dispenser for operation, replace rear panel . just a note, have a towel handy when you disconnect the water connections, you won't have any trouble. 

We called another company for the part first never returned my call then said the peice was delivered but actually it was out of stock that we had to wait 2 weeks for it . Then went on line easily put in model number found the peice at even a cheaper price with 2 day delivery . Finished the job fast . I'd still be waiting for the peice if I didn't find Appliance Parts Pro. This place helped me out in s big way . 

I replaced the water inlet valve 

Great done with ease. I have to say one thin ... It was delivered the next day !!! That made me get right on it and get it done. 

I repalaced it with the new part by taking off the back cover. And taking out one screw that was holding the water valve. And removing the water hoses. 

By replacing the water valve. 

Did some troubleshooting and found that the water valve was not shutting off correctly. Ordered part, replaced it, and not it works fine. Took about 20 minutes to replace 

MY freezer still does not freeze. it show the correct temperature but it does not freeze? any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated . 

After first checking to make sure the water line was ok (it was and I had good pressure) I removed a panel at the bottom of the refrigerator (refrigerator was unplugged). I removed one screw to detach the water valve unit. I replaced each connection one at a time. 2 electric, 3 water connections. Reattached the valve and replaced the cover. Plugged the refrigerator in and tested. Water came out and after a while so did ice. Some air was in the line so I cleared it by dispensing about 1-2 gals of water. Still have water collecting inside. Next step is to defrost the unit and make sure drain is clear. Have some rust too on the door around the dispenser (our ps is a black refrigerator, not stainless steel). So I plan to remove the door and repaint it too. Saved a lot of money doing it myself. 

After replacing the water valve on my Samsung RF266AEPN refrigerator the ice maker stopped overflowing and is now making ice correctly.
