The temp sensor was fried but decided to replace the entire heating element too in case the impedance was low on the old one. The heating element comes with the sensor and thermostat but purchased another sensor only kit to fix the old one for backup. The old element measured fine compared with the new one.
The Heating element kit shows it comes with jumper wires but it did not. The sensor kit did have the wires which I needed to replace.
Also, the bulb is not the correct bulb for my speed queen dryer. My dryer uses a bayonet two contact bulb. I should have looked closer at the picture of the bulb before purchasing it.
Its wonderful I can still buy parts for a 30-year-old dryer. Drive belt and tumbler rollers replaced a few years ago...can still get those too. And the delivery was very fast from appliance parts pros.
