Hello Nick. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly.

Ron, Based on your post description and the age of the dryer, we would have to suspect the motor WP2200376 is overheating and "shutting down" during the cycle. You can wait 15 or 20 minutes and the dryer will probably start and run for a few minutes, again ? If that's the case, start at the motor. WP2200376 motor. Dryer Main Motor 1/3hp Comes With Belt Pulley, Pulley Not Available Separately. Other End Of Mtr Is Threaded Shaft For Blower Wheel.

Rdub, you'll need to make sure you have 240v coming to the dryer and the units venting is not kinked or clogged as well as the venting to the home. If that's ok you'll need to test the thermostats on the dryer and also still check the element, they should read closed for continuity. Hope this helps you. Thanks.
