How to Troubleshoot & Replace Wci AP6987284 / 316538904 Light Bulb (40W)

Ordered the replacement knob, which I had been unable to find anywhere. They had it and the tool which compares the part with the model # of the appliance was great. I had previously purchased knob from other vendor which wound up not fitting. This fit perfectly

Found the part by entering the model number on this site. Searched the detailed skematic for the right part, told me what number it was, ordered it and a bulb and in two days i had the part in hand. Removed 6 screws, two holding the element 4 in back and swapped it out. EASY!!! 

Screwed in new bulb and voila! There was light. Not much of a story but I was impressed with your service. It was mailed out on Monday (ordered Saturday before Easter) and arrived on Tuesday. Good work. 

Diagnosed the heaters as good, moved on to the control board/clock. Found a burned out capacitor. Replaced the board and it works perfectly now. 

The bulb arrived within two days and with their fix it you tube is was a 3 minute process to replace... 

Was able to easily find the part on this site, ordered it. Shipping was fast. Part fit perfect and now we have a light in our oven again! Easy process. 

Unscrewed old light bulb and screwed in new one
