How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5956100 / W10712394 Dishwasher Upper Rack Adjuster Kit

After searching for the part at three different websites with the model number, I ordered part. When I received it, it did not look exactly like the parts I was replacing. I called Appliance Parts Pro texh support and after assistance by Brandy the part ordered was correct. After reading instructions several times I was able to remove old parts and install new ones within an hors time. The upper rack was installed and operates well. Take it from a woman who did this!!!! Yeah!!!?? 

The track rollers on my previous adjuster had broken. So every time you shifted it even a little the whole rack, dishes and all, would fall. Unfortunately, because you can't replace just the rollers I had to get a whole new adjuster unit. Thankfully Appliance Part Pros exists. Not only was I able to find the kit I needed at a reasonable price, but they also had a video showing exactly how to install it (thank you, Simon!) It took me a little longer because the original adjuster was a bit different from the one he took off in the video, but I was able to figure it out. Thanks to the video, it took me less than 30 min to install the new kit! Now, I no longer have to worry when my kids and husband load the dishwasher.

Purchased the top rack dishwasher adjuster kit, had old hardware removed, and was ready to install the new kit. 

We ordered the Adjuster Kit to fit our model. After receiving the kit, we watched a "how to" video on uTube. Woila! We fixed the problem as well as replaced the old plastic with metal with no problems.

Ordered the repair kit for the top tray. The repair went well no issues with the parts supplied. However, the instructions weren't clear(Pictures) were faded, hard to see the steps of the repair. I had to go to the Youtube video to complete the repair. 

Our trusty old well used Kitchen Aid dishwasher had the top rack come off the rail. Water splashed all over the floor while running. Did you know this would impede the door from closing securely? We didn’t. We took a chance & order the recommended part from Appliance Parts Pros. When it arrived it looked nothing like the plastic pieces ours had. We were afraid if we removed the old parts then the one good side would be unusable & we’d be worse off. We watched two videos on the site & the second one told us not to worry about the different construction. We took a leap of faith & stripped the old parts that fell into broken pieces. The new parts went on like a dream. We didn’t have the torque screw driver that was recommended but a small flat head worked just fine. Saved a small fortune & our machine is purring along. Used dishwasher cleaner off amazon & looks like a new machine! 5 STARS for this company & their video & parts!
