How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5956100 / W10712394 Dishwasher Upper Rack Adjuster Kit

It was SO easy! I ordered the adjuster kit - which was redesigned and now includes METAL parts (instead of plastic) and the wheel spokes are designed differently (YES! I've done this replacement THREE times in 8 years because of the wheel spoke being so flimsy in the past - Whirlpool FINALLY upgraded the construction). I then watched the video on this site hit pause at each step and did exactly what it said. WAY better than any youtube video I have ever used. I can't believe how easy it was. The repairman I normally use would have charged me $90 to do this repair if not more. The only difficult part was trying to figure out how to take OFF the old adjuster, as the video assumed you were replacing the same type - but I eventually figured it out. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros!!!!

Ordered new parts and replaced the broken ones. The only problem was that the photographs in the instruction sheets were so muddled they were unusable. I had to figure out how to replace the parts myself. 

Ordered top rack adjuster kit for the machine. After reviewing the video on the AppliancePartsPros.com website, I put the top rack on a work surface . I made a special note of the location of the adjuster parts on the rack. Using a medium-sized flat blade screwdriver, I disassembled the old adjuster parts and discarded them. I then installed the new adjusters on each side of the rack using a Torx bit screwdriver. Finally, I replaced the top rack with the dishwasher. 

Purchased the adjuster kit for our model of dishwasher, which was a newer/better design than the original, the installation was quick and easy. The video provided was spot on. We were able to fix it in no time flat. Our old rollers had been partially broken for years, but we kept putting up with it, but once yet another one got messed up we had no choice but to fix it, we wish we had done so years ago. Highly recommend this part if you are having this problem. 

I ordered a top rack adjuster kit and replaced both sides. 

Replaced support wheels, riser kit and rack slides. Works like new! 

I ordered the parts from AppliancePartsPros.com; my dishwasher in 9 years old, but since I could enter the model number into AppliancePartsPros’ website, was able to confirm that I was ordering the correct parts. After receiving the parts, I had to do a little digging to find the video instructions. I had come across a video for the repair when I was ordering the parts, but could not find the same video again when I actually needed to do the install.The printed instructions included in the box had reproduced photographs that were barely visible on the paper. Anyway, I found a couple of videos on YouTube that helped me get the job done. The only real setback I had was not having the particular screwdriver required for the 4 screws... since I was doing this later in the evening, I had to wait until the next morning to go to Home Depot to purchase said screwdriver. Everything is as good as new. Thank you for helping to make getting the parts and doing the repair so easy! 

I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pros. Watched the video and that was that. 

Replaced with adjuster kit. The photos graphs included with the printed instructions were too dark to be readable. Finally Googled an online You Tube video to see how to replace the parts. The first side took forever to install, the second side took 5-10 minutes.
