How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5956100 / W10712394 Dishwasher Upper Rack Adjuster Kit

Received the adjuster kit and made the repair. The instructions were difficult to see as the picture print was very dark however, thanks to YouTube, got the job done in a reasonable amount of time. The actual kit was everything I needed. 

Repair parts came very quickly. They have changed some of the roller assembly from plastic to metal. The instructions were difficult to understand but once laid out assembly was intuitive and I had both side replaced within 15 minutes.You do need a special screwdriver bit for the four screws which I had. 

I ordered the parts and got on YOUTUBE to watch a video of how to take off the old part and put on the new part. To my surprise, the adjuster kit had gone through a design change which is why I had to go on YOUTUBE to see how to take off the old part and then assemble and put on the new part. This probably took about a half-hour to assemble. Actually, my husband was doing one side as I was doing the other and this worked quite nicely. We had to use a star wrench from our Ring Doorbell on the screws. 

The video link was fabulous, much easier than the enclosed instructions. Very easy to do. 

I ordered the Top Adjuster Kit from Appliance Parts Pros and followed their how to fix it video and it was awesome and I finished the whole assembly in 40 minutes. Found part on Appliance Parts Pros. Watched the Video. Easy fix. The only surprise was two screws required a Torx Head driver. 

I ordered the adjuster kit, and replaced the adjuster mechanism myself. The most difficult part of the job was trying to see what was on the dark, with little contrast, out of focus pictures that were supposed to guide me. Thankfully, the written text was pretty good and helped a lot. 

Ordered and installed replacement adjuster kit to replace both sides. Printed instructions were confusing and the illustrations were very difficult to make out. The Youtube video was very good and saved the day. Could not have completed the replacement with only the printed instructions. 

Bought a kit from you to fix it. Replaced both sides. The instruction sheet was hard to use as the pictures were very dark. So I used you-tube and it was very helpful. I was very impressed as to how fast the delivery was and very thankful for it. 

Followed the replacement instructional video. One important note, the original adjuster kit that came on the dishwasher was all plastic. So getting the old plastic one off was not addressed in the video. It’s relatively easy to figure out how to remove. This replacement kit is partially metal and looks quite a bit different but it fits perfectly and works very well.
