How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4062362 / 56000 Dryer Blower Wheel

After watching your video I fixed it with ease. 

Thanks to your site and FAQ's I went through and step by step starting with the cheapest repair to the most expensive replaced various items. (drum roller/belt tensioner/motor); Finally as I was replacing the motor, thinking it was one of the bearings and having to remove the Blower wheel, I discovered it was the blower wheel all along. Well, I didn't have a new wheel so I quickly went to the site found the part and placed the order around 9:00PM on a SATURDAY night. The part was delivered on Tuesday before noon (Monday was a holiday)...I was AMAZED at how fast the part arrived, actually any time I have ordered a part it is here within the reported 1.7 day time frame. Once I recieved the part within 20 minutes the dryer was up and running nice and quiet. The one request I would make is to provide a video on how to replace the motor. I found for reassembly removing the whole unit (Motor mount/motor/blower housing and wheel) and taking to my workbench (top of washing machine) for reassembly then installing the whole unit in its place was much better than trying to do it on the floor of the dryer. Also one other tip, since dryer fires are common take the time to vacuum out any lint inside the dryer and venting pipes and make sure especially with a gas dryer it is vented properly. 

I took the dryer apart to find out where the loud noise was coming from at start up. I found the blower fan wheel was broken. I watched the video from appliance parts pros on how to replace it. I looked through their web site and ordered my part. Was very easy and it came in three days. I replaced the part and reassembled the dryer. Works great now. 

Opened the dryer, found front drum glides gone, looked at the blower fan, the hub had removed itself from the blower wheel. I decided to replace the idler pulley and rear support rollers. I ordered parts on Sat got them on Wed. 2 hours of time removing and replacing parts $60.00 & I have a sounds like new dryer. Thank you APP for the killer videos showing how easy it is to fix it yourself..!!! 

Used the videos in appliancepartpros.com for reference and repair went off with a hitch. Saved 50% by purchasing the parts online instead of locally as well. 

With internet and all of appliance pros videos it wasn't to hard. First I replaced the motor a major issue was it was stuck on blower wheel so had to cut motor shaft between housing found it little easier to take the whole motor mount with everything attached and cut it out that way the housing was not damaged so just bought a new blower wheel and motor also changed the drum rollers and drum guides thanks too the videos it went well:) it squeaks a little still but runs good and dryers the clothes . 

Ordered a new motor. Found that the Blower Wheel had welded itself to the shaft. Ordered a new Wheel. Parts were ordered in the evening and arrived in less than 40 hours! 

I took it apart and discovered the blower wheel had a broken hub. This was the first time I had ever worked on a dryer, so my first thought was to buy a new dryer because I guessed it would be expensive to repair, or hard to find parts. I took a picture of the model/serial number tag and checked for a part on the internet at appliance parts pros. Found it almost immediately, and cost only about 25 bucks with shipping. But the best part was the video that showed exactly how to replace it. That video saved a lot of trial and error. The only things you really need to pay attention to is the belt routing (look closely before you remove it) and make sure the seals are positioned correctly. Overall, the job was not too difficult. I spent as much time cleaning lint and re-doing the vent pipes as I did replacing the blower.
