How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4062362 / 56000 Dryer Blower Wheel

Watched the video on how to go about it and did it. Part was ordered on one day there the next fit perfect. Very satisfied will use Appliance Parts Pros again when needed Thank you. 

I had to cut the fan away from the hub so I could use vice grips to get it loose. Once it broke free it was easy to replace. The dryer is 16 years old, so while I had it torn apart, I decided to replace the drum felt and belt. I did not remove the felt until I had the new ones in hand. Then I discovered that the felt was glued down. So I had to turn around and order some high temperature adhesive. Part suppliers should have a foot note to let the do it youselfer that adhesive is needed so you are not down any longer than needed. 

Found that the blower fan was cracked and was turning freely 

I did it myself I order all parts threw appliancepartspro well I had it apart I replaced rollers on drum very easy fix if you needed to no anything they have videas on everything you need to no very good place to get parts and repair things yourself thank appliance pros 

It took less than 10 minutes from start to finish. The video was very helpful in completing this repair. After watching a few videos I believe there is nothing on our dryer that I can not troubleshoot and repair. 

I replaced the dryer blower wheel. The old blower wheel was stuck on, which made this job much more difficult. 

Opened the dryer, took off the lint vent covers and removed the blower wheel. I had ordered a new blower wheel and replaced the broken one. 

I figured I had to replace the drum support rollers, as if they're worn out and wobbling on the shaft, that could be part of the noise issue. After disassembling the unit, I also discovered the blower metal insert molded into the blower wheel was loose (it was no longer securely molded into place). Because the metal insert was loose, there was not an easy way to remove the blower wheel from the motor shaft because the molded in hexagonal nut was 'disconnected' from the metal insert. A quick internet search showed me how to use a hole saw to remove the wheel and then grip the metal insert with locking pliers. That internet trick was a lifesaver. Reassembled and it now runs nice and quiet. 

Repaired faulty outdoor vent cover by cleaning lint that was keeping flapper door from closing. Replaced the damaged blower wheel with a new part from AppliancePartsPros.com.
