How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6024203 / WPY54414 Dryer Belt Tension Pulley

Installed new tension pulley, and belt. However, the drum rollers were mounted differently than the ones I received because the originals are permanently mounted on the axles.So it is necessary to order both the axles and the rollers. The video was useful. 

I replaced the drum support rollers, the belt and belt tension pulley. 

Troubleshoot.....found tension pulley was starting to seize up. Easy repair. Except, I broke the door switch......No biggy! Mark the color wire connection to switch, in the order, it came apart. So, you don't forget the connection order to switch. Ordered door switch, tension pulley, and belt. Parts arrived at my house, in two days. 

Replaced pulley and belt while I was at it. Decided to replace lint tray assy also. Dreyer works like new. 

Took out the motor and replaced dry motor and idler arm and pully 

I AM A RETIRED APPLICAN REPAIRMAN, READ THE MANUAL. ORDERED THE PARTS, RECEIVED THEM IN 2 DAYS. THIS IS A PLUS FOR ME. WILL ORDER MORE --FOR OTHER APPIANCES. DP 

Followed the instructions on the video 

Replaced rear rollers, front sliders, idler and belt. Repair video helped but disassembly instructions were not on the mark. Next day parts delivery was unbelievable . 

Replaced the idler pulley which was frozen, not turning. Easy fix with your new belt tension pulley. While in there, replaced the drum rollers and put on a new belt and gave everything a good cleaning. All the parts fit and overall very easy especially with the videos you presented Thanks
