How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013782 / WP9709194 Thumb Screw

Disassembled and replaced gear. 

I looked up the part on appliancepartspros.com Using the model number of my mixer. They shipped the part out, and they had a very informational video that assisted me with the installation of the part. 

Symptom: when cranking the metal lift arm to lift fron bowl on my pro mixer- nothing moved. solution: ordered little plastic "lift arm" piece and, as long as i was paying the same shipping, i also ordered thumb screw as mine previously lost plastic end. the repair: 4 screws, a cotter pin and a roll pin later good as new- actually better cause i cleaned those hard to reach places while i was at it- repair time: absolutely no rush 15 min tops. ( takes longer to write this review!)

Replaced PrInted Circuit Board (PCB) for the display with part # EBR 42478907 

Just replaced it with a new thumb screw.

My problem does not sound that bad, however I am a polymer clay artist and I use my kitchen aid mixer to role by sheets of clay.
