How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6017747 / WPW10248240 Temperature Switch

Replaced switch . It was very easy. Hardest part was putting the washer back together 

My washer would agitate while filling and then try to rinse during the spin cycle. I read the comments on your page to troubleshoot the problem. I decided it was a water temperature switch, ordered it and it arrived less than 24 hours later. Your video on how to replace the switch was easy to understand and five minutes later I made the repair. Thank you for saving me a service call charge and providing excellent customer service! 

Replaced part you suggested. Was not sure it would solve problem but it did. 

This is the third switch I have put in this dryer. NOT because of the switch but because it is used so much. . Ordered the switch and got it the next morning ! Yea !! Appliance repair guy diagnosed the water level switch was broken. I asked if I could order and install the part myself. He said sure and talked me through getting into the control panel. The part came in two days, I popped it open and replaced the switch in 15 minutes. Whirlpool washer works fine. His cost was $45, part was $ 85 which was much better than the cost of a new machine. 

Replaced the temperature switch. This happened about 3 years ago and I paid almost $300 for a service call. This time I fixed it myself for less than $90. It took me 5 minutes to put the new switch in!
