How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6020669 / WPW10381562 Bellow

Replaced bellow 

After watching a video showing step by step how to replace the seal I ordered the part. It arrived in two days. I replaced the seal and problem solved. The repair was fairly easy with the exception of putting the retaining bands back on. With a little patience, anyone handy with a pair of pliers and a screwdriver could do it. 

Ordered new parts, and utilized the video to see how to complete the repair. Did the repair myself and saved a lot of money in the process. 

By following the instructional video of how to remove the bellow and how to replace it I was able to quickly replace this part. This is the second time I've need to replace the bellow in my machine. The first time it was ripping clothes to shreds, this time it somehow had holes worn into the bellow causing water to leak. The first time I replaced the bellow I watched the video and my husband and I went from memory as to how to fix it. (I don't have the upper body needed for the last part of this repair, so I enlisted help.) This time I asked my mother-in-law to help at the end. We took a second to watch how the repairman completed the part I needed help with, stretching the wire around the bellow, and noticed something my husband and I had forgotten, which was he used a pair of pliers to grip the wire before stretching it around the bellow. I held the wire in place and my mother-in-law stretched it and the last step took seconds. When my husband and I did this repair 3 years ago it took some contortion and about 15 minutes to complete that last step because we didn't use pliers. 

Watched the how to video online. Was a simple easy fix. After a little fiddling,mthe old one came out easily by lifting a rubber flap that locked it in place and then simply sliding it to the position where it could be lifted up and out. Pliers to remove the big hose (get a bucket ... that was a mess) and wire snips to remove the clamp on the other hose. Lifted the flap to expose the electrical connector, disconnected it. Slid the new one in place and reconnected hoses and electrical connector. That was it. Runs like a charm again. 

Ordered a new Bellow from Appliance Parts Pros which arrived in 2 business days (very pleased). Watched the how to video that you supplied on line and replaced it myself with the help from my son. The video was very very helpful.

Followed the instructions on the video. While the model was not exactly right and the video varied slightly from my model it was extremely helpful in completing the repair. 

By watching your video it explained it pretty easy the only thing that was different was that there were different types of screw heads for the dis assembling of the washer 

I ordered the new bellow through appliancepartspros.com, watched the video on the same sight as ordered part.The only help I needed was taking the dryer off of the washer, so I could replace the door bellow! This was a very easy repair! The videos that are provided with the ordered parts was amazing and made this so much easier! Very happy!!!
