How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4299744 / 8206230A Charcoal Filter

I watched videos on Appliance Part Pros website. It was very helpful and easy to replace bulb and charcoal filters. Parts were very easy to order and delivery was fast. I replaced it myself, not my husband, 

GOT THE STEPLADDER, REMOVED TWO SCREWS, SLID OUT THE OLD FILTER, SEATED THE NEW FILTER, AND REPLACED THE SCREWS, A SIMPLE TASK. 

Replaced it with new filter. 

Ordered the filter online about 3:00 PM and had it installed by 3:00 PM the next day! WOW...super happy, thanks for the fast service! 

I watched your repair video. It was very easy to replace the filters. 

Removed vent deflector from front of microwave, changed charcoal filter; manually removed grease filters from bottom of microwave and replaced with new ones. Replaced oven light bulb manually. 

Remove vent with screwdriver, replace charcoal filter. While vent was removed it gave me the opportunity to clean it. Replacing grease filter was easy, just slide out old one and slide in new one. Be sure to disconnect power to microwave before changing charcoal filter. I shut off the circuit breaker because it was easier to get to than unplugging it. 

I never knew my microwave had a filter up top until I accidentally took the top grille off. Boy was it dirty. Looked in Home Depot but they didn’t have it. I’m am so glad I found Appliancepartspros. 

Just remove the two screws from the top of the vent grille and set the grille aside. Then remove the old filter and slide the new filter in. Reattach the vent grille. 

Watched the short video. Undid the screws, slid out filter, put in new filter, replaced and tightened the 2 screws.
