How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6014533 / WP99003484 Folding Tine Clip

The folding tine pivot and folding tine clip for the bowl rack on the top tray of my dishwasher were worn and broken. Was using rubber bands to hold it together. Ordered new clips and the problem was fixed in less than 15 minutes. Easy to replace. Nice to have that rack functioning properly again. Oh, and they shipped super fast. I was pleasantly surprised they came so quickly. Thanks! 

After ordering a new clip from my local parts store, I discovered it was not an exact replacement. When I found Appliance Pros Parts site, I found that my Jenn-Aire actually had Maytag parts. I ordered the appropriate parts and they are an exact replacement. 

Replaced it with a new tine clip which restored unit to original function. 

Very Easily. All parts in this repair were just snap out and snap back in. took all of 10 Min. Max. 

Finally ordered a new part. Popped it in. No more rubber bands and wires holding things together. 

Replaced the part 

In a fit of rage when the bowls tipped over for about the millionth time in 8 years, I took the broken clip out and "googled" the markings on the clip, which brought me to the AppliancePartsPros.com website. It took me about 5 minutes to actually find the correct part, but I found it for $5 + $8.50 shipping and handling. I ordered it immediately and put the broken clip back on my dishwasher rack. When I received the clip, I replaced it which took a couple of minutes, mostly because I wanted to be careful and not break it. Now, 8 years later, my dishwasher rack is as good as new! Needless to say, I was very proud of myself! My wife's reply: "I wish you would have done this 8 years ago..." 

Very simply unsnapped the broken ones and snapped in the new ones. Good as new.
