How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4318657 / W10124096 Condenser Motor Kit

Replaced old wobbly condenser fan with a new Condenser Motor Kit. Very simple. 

Replaced the condenser and fan with kit and noise is gone! Worked like a charm. 

Ordered a new kit with the wiring to work with my existing wiring. One of your competitors had sent it three times, each wrong! You guys got it the first time!!! 

Replaced it with new one. 

Replaced the fan that pulls away from the heat from the compressor. 

Easy fix. Took off the back panel. It was obvious that the fan was what was making the noise I heard. Removed the existing fan and associated motor. The new one ordered was slightly different in configuration, but it came with an adapter cord and went in pretty much plug and play. The only thing I would say is to put the fan on before you install the motor. The new fan and motor came in a couple of days. 

Our refrigerator started making a loud humming noise which I pretty quickly located as the fan that draws air across the bottom of the unit. A quick check showed it to be the condenser motor fan. Popped off the electrical connector, remove three screws and the old one is out. I placed a small fan to blow air into the back of the unit while I waited on delivery of the new part, which came pretty quickly. Put the new fan in easy enough and problem solved. Didn’t have to shut down or unload the refrigerator. 

Easily removed the 3 screws that held the old motor in place and screwed the new one in place. 

Changed the condenser motor and fan blades. Also needed the plug attachment. New motor has 4 prongs and old one has 3. Fixed the problem. 

Replace with a.new one.
