Looked up the part on AppliancePartsPros.com web site. It arrived 2 days later. Very helpful to have someone assist you with performing this job. My wife helped.
Turn off the power, slide the range out, and unplug.
Remove the two Phillips screws under the control panel, then lift and pull out. The wiring harnesses are still connected. We opened the oven door slightly and balanced the unit there using a piece of cardboard to prevent scratching.
Remove the two Phillips screws on the front holding the cooktop bracket. The top is suppose to lift and slide forward, but had to use a flat scraper or 5-in-1 tool to separate the glass from the gasket/rubber tape that it rests on. Try not to damage it as you will have to reuse.
Clean the gaskets and anything else that is dirty.
Now just slide the new glass cooktop on being sure to engaging the rear brackets and position the front until the attached metal bracket lines up with the screw holes. Replace the 2 Phillips screws.
Put the gasket back on the front edge of the glass cooktop and finesse the control panel back into place. There are 2 blunt ended studs that provide alignment. Reinstall the control panel Phillips screws.
Plug in the range and slide back into place.
Very glad that we did this job ourselves.
