How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008426 / WP34001303 Shock Absorber (Washer Tub Damper), 1-Pack

Completely disassembled the washer removing the tub and replaced the frame shaft assembly, one shock absorber, and the bearings. It is a tough job but it is doable if you have the time. Our Maytag washer was running so badly for almost a year and now finally it runs like new. Thanks AppliancePartsPros.com for having the exact parts and the fast delivery. 

I replaced the left lower strut, yes all of them probably need it but the lower left one definitely was the issue! 

This damper as well as the rear damper were worn out. It was a fairly simply remove/replace job with the hardest part being re installing the door boot. All in all not too difficult.
