I'm not mechanically inclined by any means, but the repair was very easy. I took the food out of the door, then took the door off the hinges by removing the top hinge and lifting the door off the bottom hinge. I put the door flat on the kitchen floor, and replaced the door closer on the bottom of the door. It was pretty obvious what the issue was comparing the old and new door closer. The old door closer had it's little risers (best way to describe it) sheered off. Once the new door closer was in place, I put the door back on the bottom hinge and put the top hinge back in place. Once I bolted everything down and put the food back in, I was good to go.
