How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6286924 / W11192795 Stand Mixer Gear Kit

Watched a you tube video on how to change the gears. 

Replaced all of the gears, Also, cleaned out grease with metal filing clean grease. 

Ordered new parts and replaced. Working great! 

I replaced all the gears so it would last another 10yrs 

First thing to do is open the top end up, and try and find the worn gears, Grease clean up has to happen any way so do it now. Found the problem. Great it is going to take a few days for new part to arrive, so just reassemble nothing has to be tight. 

First, I watched a video. Seemed easy enough. Then I took my KitchenAid Pro 600 apart and looked inside gear box. Exactly like video. So took apart and cleaned used parts. Bought new and had to take one quick look at parts sheet when they arrived and reassembled. Loaded with grease, cleaned it all up and gave it to church. Machine broke because I was using it for bread and the machine is really not intended for someone who makes a dozen loafs a week. So I purchased a KitchenAid Commercial unit and it works just fine. 

Best to replace all gears due to resultant damage. 

After watching the YouTube videos, we determined what parts to purchase. My husband was able to fix all four! We have a small bakery and having enough mixers is vital! Thanks for making these repairs easy! 

Replaced all the gears due to stripped worm gear and metal contamination in the grease, repair was easy, mixer works just like new again, it lasted 12 years 

Had to remove housing and gear casing to access gears. Had to remove all the grease since the pieces of the old gear were mixed with the grease. Got new parts and new grease put everything together and slathered the grease into the casing and put it all back together.
