How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6888222 / W11366227 Hose

Used the model number and Internet to get repair part and 10 minute video of the repair. Got part on 2nd business day and installed it that day in just 1 hour. It was easy. 

Replaced it 

Discovered the end of the dispenser hose was worn and not sealing tightly causing water to run down and drip off the outer plastic tub. Originally I thought the tub was leaking since I saw it dripping from there. I took the washer apart and was going to try and use JB plastic weld to fix it. But then I saw the dirty water line from the hose to the bottom of the tub and how the worn the end of the hose was. Thank goodness it was only the hose. Also, discovered one of the 4 shock absorber (Dampner) was no longer attached to the drum which explains why the spin cycle was making loud thumping sounds. Replaced the dampner as well.. I've run about 5 loads now and no water leak and spin cycle is much quieter. Whew! 

Replaced detergent dispenser drawer drain hose to washer tub 

Followed the YouTube guide from APP, fairly simple job, fixed the issue. No leaks from those hoses now. 

Found a worn out Bellow (Door Gasket) . While repairing that I replaced the Drum Shocks and the Fresh Water inlet hose. Your online tech was a lot of help in troubleshooting the unit. 

Remove screws from the upper control panel and lay them on top of the washer. Remove corner screws from the front center panel with door. And drop down 4 Inches, to gain access to the hose, remove the clamp from the upper dispenser and remove the rubber hose from the drum, and replace it with a new hose. Reassembled. 

Took the bottom panel off and put some paper towels down across the floor of the machine to see where the water was coming from. Set the cycle to tub clean. Once the agitator was up to full speed water started streaming off of the left side of the cement counterweight. I checked the bellows for tears but did not find any. I took the top off the machine and removed the entire soap dispenser unit and found the leak was from the main soap dispenser hose where it attaches to the tub. I looked up the part on AppliancePartsPros and they had a specific repair video for this hose. Turns out the easier way to replace it was to just remove the front panel and door. 15 minutes to replace this part. 

Replaced two hoses. Ordered parts on Friday and had them on Saturday. Would highly recommend buying parts from them.
