How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6016625 / WPW10190961 Icemaker

Ordered the entire icemaker from Appliance Parts Pro - received the next day!! Was very easy to install and we now have ice cubes again!! 

Easy to replace even for the non-mechanical, 4 screws and a plug. The fill funnel was taller on the new unit but the rubber spout bent out of the way and then popped into place. 

Replaced ice maker. Works perfectly now. 

Found appliance parts pros.com ordered parts needed for repair replaced parts and now it is working again. 

A quick homeowner style diagnosis and a brief chat with a very friendly and helpful APP.com representative and it was decided upon to replace the ice maker. Two short days later and a brief 7 minute swap out and we were back in business. Thank you! 

I watched the video and replaced it myself! The repairman from Sears quoted over $500 to replace it. I did it for under $200. I'm a "Do It Myself" 61 year old gal and it's great to be able to say "I did it and saved a bunch." 

I watched the video on Appliance Parts Pros website and decided it was not that hard to replace it. I got the model number off the refrigerator and ordered a new one. With in 4 days it was here and fix at half the cost it of last time I had it changed by repair man. This was not the first time I used Appliance pros I also repaired my washer and dryer. A couple years ago. 

Replaced with a new one. 

Replaced the ice maker. After reading all the on-line help and testing procedures (man there sure is a lot!) we narrowed the problem to the ice maker. Rather than mess with testing the control until we decided to replace the entire ice maker (the price was right) since it was also having problems with sticking cubes in the fifth position. 

I ran a few test that I got from your web site and was able to determine that the whole ice maker unit needed to be replaced. I placed the order received the new one in a few days, installed the new one and we had ice in a few hours. Total time invested maybe 2-3 hours.
