How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4359694 / W10190935 Ice Maker Control Module

I ordered and installed a new control module, not realizing that the actual area where the ice is made was breaking down and that was what burned up the original module. So now I just ordered a complete new ice maker. That was what I should have done from the start. So for you do it your self folks, don't buy parts, buy the complete unit and save time and money. 

I found this site. Looked up how to troubleshoot ice maker. There was an excellent video on how to do it. Figured out it was the motor. As soon as I took the ice maker out. Took the cover off the old motor, it was broke. The center pc just fell off. Ordered a new one. Took less than 10 mins to install. Had ice about 2 hrs later. Very simple to do yourself. Was told by a friend of mine I needed a whole new ice maker. Glad I didn’t listen and found this site. Saved me over $100.

Replaced the Ice Maker Control Module with a part from Appliance Parts Pros. The video provided from Appliance Parts Pros showed how to replace the part. Without it I'm sure I would have had to call a technician to finish the project. The video was exactly the same part and it was step by step. What could have been a couple of hours took only 30 minutes. I could not be more pleased! 

Replaced the Ice Maker Control Module 

I recognized there was no cycling of the mechanism so I read other repair stories and concluded the most likely culprit was the control module. My conclusion was correct. The module went in fairly easily and the problem was fixed. Ice has been churning out now for a couple of weeks with no further problems. Thanks APP for the part and the video that helped me be confident in the replacement. 

I ordered the replacement module for my icemaker and followed the instructions per the video provided by Appliance Parts and things went smoothly. Couldn't be happier. Five Stars ! 

I ordered an Ice Maker Control Module. Once I received it I reviewed the repair video that showed how to replace this part. I took it step by step and it took me about 15 minutes to complete. In a short time my ice maker was making ice again. The repair video is a great tool that made the job easy. 

We watched a you tube video to determine the problem. Once we knew what was wrong we ordered the correct part. It literally took us 5 minutes to change the part. The ice maker now works great and it saved us about 150.00 because we didn't have to have a repair man come do it for us.
