How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3094197 / 279640 Dryer Idler Pulley

Been doing these repairs for a lil while now. Your Company provides Videos on Appliance Brands that detail how to get to the part that is suspected and how to Test and Repair. I suspected a Part by it's sound and followed the Video to get to the part and made the repair. 

First thing I did was check youtube for my model of dryer and sure enough I found several videos showing my problem. Turns out the Idler pulley broke and cause the belt to become dislodged. I then found the Appliance Parts Pros video on how to replace and ordered the needed part. The part arrived a couple days later, i followed instructions on video and had the dryer running in minutes. 

Replaced pulleys, works great now 

Replace Idler Pulley by following the video. 

Found the offending part (thermal cutoff) and then down the rabbit-hole of why it tripped. Turns out the motor was failing and could not spin the blower wheel fast enough to move the air out of the dryer resulting in an overheat condition, thus tripping the cutoff. 

My husband installed the part and it worked out great, no more squeaking! Great service! 

Replaced idler pulley, and while I had it apart decided to replace drum rollers and belt on this 12yr old machine 

Watched a You Tube video and they they explained it to a T. It just needed a new pulley wheel. 

I repalced the idler wheel and belt,I also replaced the door switch. 

Purchased a new idler pulley
