Michael M Wabeno , WI January 20, 2018 The cold water would continue to run even when then washer was unplugged I replaced the water inlet valve. The kit came with a hose and new attachment bracket, neither of which fit, but the valve fixed the problem. I thought I'd put the new hose on, but I guess it was for a different machine. I would have just ordered the valve, but the kit was all I could find. Kenneth G Lexington , KY February 23, 2016 Appliance: Amana Top Loading Washer NAV5800AWW Water would seep into the washer tub (about 2 inches) overnight My first thought was to suspect the water inlet valve that may not be shutting off completely after wash cycles were completed. But I wanted to prove without a doubt the valve was the problem. I then removed all power to the washer to eliminate the timer, wiring problems, or etc at the end of a completed wash cycle. With the washer unplugged the washer had 2 inches of water in the tub the next morning. I had no doubt it was the water inlet valve that was defective. I reviewed the video showing how to access the inlet water valve for replacement for my particular model. The video was great and the repair was a major success! ( Just ask my wife! ) Read More...
