How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007569 / WP307458 Surface Knob

Replaced knob 

Ordered and installed new knob. 

Ordered replacement knobs and now it works great! 

Pushed it on 

The replacement knobs were perfect! Just pulled the old ones off and push the new ones on. 

I searched on many different internet sites, and was having a very difficult time finding a part that would work for my stove top,being it was an older stove top. Now I know where to go the next time I have a problem and need a replacement part.
