How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008637 / WP349639 Dryer Lint Screen Filter

Replaced with new screen 

Purchased new one from APP 

It works great it replaced a different model number so there was no problem. i would order from you again shipping was fast. 

This is awesome-my 12 year old son fixed it by himself the day the part arrived, without any direction or instruction from me! I think it is pretty cool through he tackled it on his own!

Not much to say. Pulled broken one out, slid the new one in. Job done! 

Bought the replacement part! I can't believe it took me so long! 

I found the exact needed Lint Screen on Appliance Parts Pros. It was easy to find and the description of the product was clear and accurate so it made selection easy. The product arrived when promised and was a perfect replacement in my dryer. I say "THANK YOU APPLIANCE PARTS PROS". 

Ordered replacement part 

It turned out that the dryer lint screen was torn and most of the lint was getting sucked into the wall of the dryer, which prevented the heat from reaching the drum. OK, so I'm a novice here as I am trying to describe what was happening, but the end result was that it would take 2 or 3 FULL cycles to dry an average load of clothes! Replacing the screen solved the problem. AND we ordered it on Wednesday and it arrived on Thursday WITHOUT paying for overnight delivery. The website says they are fast...and the are!!
