How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3119799 / 8183851 Microwave Vent Grill

Installed a new one ! 

Snapped the new grill in put in the 2 screws and it was done. # minutes.Perfect fit. 

Got the parts in less than 24 hours, and less than ten minutes later, voila! All installed with only a screwdriver. The hardest part was opening the mailing box! 

Turns out, on deep inspection, that someone in the past (we are second owners of home) did not realize the grill has two screws that need to come out for removal. so, apparently, they just broke it off to get inside. We dealt with this piece for a while, but looking at your site, I saw what was missing from my piece. Ordered new one, perfect fit. Everyone is happy!!! I would caution others, that some other sellers offer a piece for less. It will not fit properly!! Do your homework and be sure to get the correct part!! 

Is was relativey easy to replace the broken plastic grill cover. 

Bought a new vent grille from AppliancePartsPros.com. 

After getting the right parts from AppliancePartsPros.com and following the videos that they provide fixed everything. 

I searched the model number of my microwave on your website and found the diagram of parts. Number 8 was the vent cover, and, when I touched the link for the part, it gave me the exact number that I needed to place an order. The cover arrived in two days. I simply snapped it in place and it was perfect. 

I finally found a site that made it easy to get the parts for my microwave that I needed. 

I ordered a new cover from Appliance Parts Pros. It arrived the following day. While it wasn’t an exact fit for the 17 year old oven and did take some maneuvering, it did eventually fit and you can’t tell the difference. Thank you.
